A launch screen appears instantly when the app is opened. It is quickly replaced by the first screen in the app. It is useful to make an app seem responsive, and decrease the sense of a long load time.

Note that all the elements on this spec are PDF assets. Separate assets will be provided for light and dark mode.

The tablet layout is identical to phone, and the same assets are to be used across all iOS devices. Portrait and landscape orientations follow the same layout.

The Vision Launch Screen component does not handle the following cases, by design:

• Compact width, compact height
• Regular width, compact height
